Adam and Steve Statuette

With twenty-five years of experience sculpting, this artist creates a whimsical series of statuettes including this Adam and Steve Statuette. She also makes Adam and Eve, Madam and Eve and Eve with African animals, all complete with cheeky tushies.  

Using a secret clay recipe, she forms each statuette by hand from her home studio in Cape Town, South Africa.  Every piece is three weeks in the making; the process includes molding, drying, glazing and two rounds of firing. The statuettes are mounted on black granite from Zimbabwe – offcuts from a nearby custom kitchen countertop shop.
